This handcrafted scarf slide is designed to secure lightweight scarves without tying or bulk. The marquise-shaped Indonesian brecciated jasper cabochon is framed in fine silver with a delicate sterling silver beaded edge, set atop a custom-engineered brass backing that allows fabric to pass through smoothly and hold securely. The mechanics of this piece were carefully worked out by hand-balancing weight, opening size, and curvature so the slide functions securely without snagging or pull delicate fibers. The result is a sculptural, jewelry-like solution for thinner scarves.
