I’m Martie — I spent nearly 30 years in anesthesia, and now I split my life between metalwork, horses, and a small tribe of rescued creatures.

I gentle wild BLM Mustangs, share my barn with “unadoptable” cats (my '“barn savages”), and live with rescue dogs who have found their forever home here. I’ve learned that patience and respect can turn fear into trust — whether it’s with animals or people.

Sterling Pony Designs grew out of a need for something quiet and grounding during and after the pandemic — a time that left deep marks on those of us who worked inside healthcare. Creating with my hands became a way to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with something meaningful.

I make jewelry in small batches with attention, intention, and honesty — just one steady piece at a time.
